LCSO busts marijuana grow house in Lehigh

A tip from the public led to a marijuana grow house in Lehigh Acres, resulting in one arrest.
Michel Bello Farran, 36, of 1138 Amherst St. E., was arrested and charged on July 6 with marijuana producing, marijuana trafficking excess of 25 pounds or 300 plants or more, and owning or renting a vehicle or structure for the manufacture of marijuana, according to booking records.
As of July 7, he had been released from the Lee County Jail on $40,000 bond.
During the investigation, probable cause was developed and a search warrant was obtained for a residence at 1138 Amherst St. E. Inside the home, detectives located 21 mature marijuana plants about 6 feet tall in the final stages of budding and two rooms set up to facilitate a grow house operation.
In total, 320 pounds of marijuana plants were seized – a street value of about $200,000.

Detectives also seized a vehicle owned by Farran under the Florida Contraband Forfeiture Act.
Farran has a court appearance scheduled for Aug. 7.
