Hope Hospice, a program of Hope Healthcare that provides specialized care for people with complex needs related to life-changing illness, is seeking hospice volunteers in Lehigh Acres.

Volunteers may be asked to talk and socialize with individuals in Hope’s care, read news articles or play card games, or give a caregiver a much-needed break by visiting.

“The time Hope Hospice volunteers donate is a special gift to people in our care,” Samira K. Beckwith, president and chief executive officer of Hope Healthcare.

“Providing quiet companionship, comfort and compassion can mean the world to them when they need it most,” she said.

Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age or older.
