Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying two men who targeted an 84-year-old woman in a Walmart parking lot theft.

At about 1:30 p.m. Aug. 3, the victim exited the store at 2523 Lee Blvd. and made her way to her parked vehicle. As she was loading groceries into the trunk of her car, two men canvassing the parking lot ran over to her cart, stole her purse and quickly ran from the scene.

The woman was not injured during the incident.

The suspects were seen leaving in a silver or grey Ford Explorer Sport Trac pickup truck, which may have had a white tool box in the truck bed and a chrome brush guard on the front of the truck.

After leaving the Walmart, the men used credit cards from the victim’s purse at multiple stores countywide.

Anyone with information on the two suspects is asked to call Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
