LeeTran launches new system to provide real-time bus information
LeeTran passengers waiting at a bus stop, approaching their destination on the bus or planning their next trip from home now have access to real-time bus location information.
LeeTran’s new Clever Devices BusTime system is available on the following platforms:
– On Android and iOS devices with the Ride LeeTran app
– At kiosks in high-traffic locations
– On digital signs at all transfer centers
– In audio and text announcements on all buses
– On the web at: www.RideLeeTran.com
The system improvements are funded by Federal Transit Administration grants and are intended make transportation more user-friendly and accessible for veterans and their families, as well as all riders.
System kiosks will provide real-time bus information; links to Veteran Services websites; a link to Google Maps Transit Trip Planner; LeeTran Rider Alert information; and weather information.
The kiosks are available at:
– Lee County VA Healthcare Center, North Fort Myers
– Lee County Human & Veterans Services, Fort Myers
– Southwest Florida Military Museum & Library, Cape Coral
– Rosa Parks Transportation Center, downtown Fort Myers
– Cape Coral Transfer Center, Cape Coral
– Edison Mall Transfer Center, Fort Myers
– Fort Myers Beach Park & Ride, Fort Myers Beach (opening late 2017)
