LCSO investigating shooting in Lehigh

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting in Lehigh Acres.

At about 5 p.m. today, deputies responded to 1418 Lee Blvd. in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, they located a man with a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

Due to the nature of the incident, Major Crimes Unit detectives responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.

The investigation is active.
