KIWANIS CLUB OF LEHIGH ACRES

The Kiwanis Club of Lehigh Acres helped pack 1,000 student backpacks with school essentials Aug. 24-26 at the annual Kiwanis Florida District Convention, held at the Naples Grande Beach Resort in Naples. For helping, the local club received 24 backpacks to distribute to children in need in Lehigh. The club arranged to have the backpacks delivered to Houston by Kelly Johnson, who was planning to take a load of varied supplies to the flood victims. Shown are, from left, Ron Reineke and Johnson.
