LCSO seeking witnesses in homicide

By Staff | Sep 20, 2017

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the assistance of the public regarding an active homicide investigation.

At approximately 6 p.m. Sept. 14, deputies responded to the area of Leonard Boulevard North and Leonard Boulevard South regarding a disturbance. Upon arrival, it was determined that Aden James Wright, 20, had been fatally wounded.

Several witnesses on scene advised that numerous citizens were traveling the roadway when the incident occurred, and continued on, as they may not have realized what had just happened.

Detectives would like to speak with witnesses who may have seen individuals operating: a beige pickup truck, possibly a Silverado; a white pickup truck hauling a mattress; and an older model, white Chevrolet Tahoe about that time.

Anyone in the area between Lee Boulevard and Hawalaska Street who witnessed anything unusual prior to the arrival of law enforcement is asked to call Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Tips may also be made online at: www.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or by submitting a tip on the P3Tips mobile app.
