To the editor:

Please do not turn your back on Ron DeSantis or Rick Scott; they are both honest people and I am sure they will do a very good job for Florida.

Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis working together will get more done for Florida than Gillum could ever hope for. I will bet they will have more say on digging the reservoir by Lake O to help stop the red tide and blue-green algae.

And if Floridians like more taxes, income tax, a sales tax increase, more property tax, then Gillum is your man.

He wants to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour. I’m sure that statement will get him a lot of votes, but I am also sure it will hurt a lot of people and businesses. Like I would go to McDonald’s and pay $9 or $10 for a hamburger. McDonald’s is a first job for many girls and guys to go for their first job just out of school. They get jobs as order takers and cashiers and the fellows do the same or work in the kitchen getting orders ready. These fast food places are for a wage and on-the-job training for young and for some older that need work; it is not for a step toward retirement. I can not imagine these fast food places paying $15 an hour to, say, eight workers which would amount to $960 for an eight-hour shift.

I’m sure if he gets elected he will put a bunch of companies out of business. The crime rate will go up as people are fired or laid off. At fast food you will talk to a machine that will take your order after you pay by credit or debit card. No stores, including grocery, will accept cash or checks and you will pay with plastic as there will be no cashiers to wait on anybody.

The Democratic politicians state they are doing what the people want. What people are they referring to?

I also hope people vote and elect Gov. Rick Scott to replace Bill Nelson. Rick Scott has been the best governor Florida has had in many years.

Bill Nelson adds Rick Scott stole money from Medicare and made millions. The Bill Nelson sailor in the navy hat makes a big deal of saying Rick Scott stole millions from Medicare. For your info, I will bet there isn’t a C.E.O. in a big company that does his own books. That is why you hire people to work for you. Any money that was stolen was also paid back in full by Rick Scott. He also claims Rick made millions and kept it from the Floridians. BIG DEAL!! Why should he advertise money that is made honestly and it doesn’t affect you or hurt anybody? I wish the Bill Nelson sailor would climb back in his row boat and quit believeing what a politician tells him what to say.

If Bill Nelson cared for Florida the way Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis do, there would not be anything to write about. How does a flight in space and looking out the window resolve problems such as he “sees all people working together.” Nice thought, but that won’t do anything for reality.
