The community is invited to join the First Baptist Church of Lehigh next month for a free concert with singer/songwriter Chuck Day.

Paul Schwab said he performed a year ago at the church and was really well received.

“He’s just a great Country Western Gospel singer,” he said.

Day, which is known for his famous song, “Midnight Cry,” has written and co-written more than 15 number one songs in Christian and country music.

“He’s written a lot of songs. He is just a popular guy, great singer, great personality and he certainly loves the Lord,” Schwab said.

Day will perform at First Baptist Church of Lehigh, 200 Lee Blvd., at 9 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 2.

“He will pretty much have the whole service. He will perform for an hour to an hour and a half,” Schwab said.

There is additional, ample, convenient parking behind the church on Connecticut Road. He said individuals have to walk across a little bridge to the church.
