Youngsters have the opportunity to join Mr. and Mrs. Kringle for a continental style breakfast next month at Veterans Park, as well as create some holiday crafts.

Breakfast with the Kringles will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at Veterans Park, 55 Homestead Rd. S. Tickets, which are limited to the first 100, are $5 per child and $3 for adults eating breakfast.

“We usually sell out,” Veterans Park Supervisor Rebecca Flora said.

In the past the crafts have included such things as a little ceramic ornament that the kids paint and such paper crafts as Christmas trees, or a picture of Santa using cotton balls as his beard.

“Every kid comes away with a gift from Santa. The kids really enjoy it,” Flora said.

The event will also include demonstrations from the Recreation Center’s regular programs such as martial arts and dance classes.
