Early morning homicide under investigation
A homicide investigation is underway after a shooting occurred on Quentin Avenue South in Lehigh Acres Monday morning.
Sherriff Carmine Marceno held a press conference on 28th Street near Quentin Avenue South sharing that at 6:30 a.m. deputies responded to the 2000 Block of Quentin Avenue South in reference to a shooting.
“The victim, a black female, was pronounced deceased at the scene,” Marceno said. “All detectives are on scene working all available leads on this homicide investigation. There is no threat to the public and it appears to be an isolated incident.”
The victim was identified as Trenesa Deanette Roberts, 39.
Marceno said they are devoting every available resource to this open, and active investigation.
