Once again our city leaders have pie in their face. We had our first Bike Night since the work on 47th Terrace began.

It is plain to the business owners that this new plan for no motorcycle parking on 47th Terrace is going to become another loss of income. Our city manager, John Szerlag, must not own nor does he know any fervent Harley owners. If he did, he would be aware that most owners have $35,000 to $45,000 invested and prefer not to let them out of sight, much less to park them in some lots behind a building and then walk a mile or two away to spend their money.

If they don’t consider once again allowing parking on 47th Terrace where people can walk and observe the beauty of the bikes, enjoy the fellowship of the other bikers, and spend their money on accessories and dining, they will stop coming to Cape Coral Bike Night.

Now we are not going to finish the project this year as scheduled, instead, now it will be next year. More detours.
