Personality not policy
To the editor:
As someone who is not a supporter of Donald Trump, I do like some of his ideas. However, Trump is his own worst enemy when it comes to gathering broad-based support for his ideas. His volatile personality alienates even those in his party.
If I were a woman, would I date Trump if he were single? Absolutely not, especially considering his presidential behavior. Sure, he is rich, but he is neither attractive physically, nor in his actions or spirit.
Among the many Christian Fruits Of The Spirit, (Galatians 5:22) he possesses diminutive amounts of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. Why would I date or vote for him?
Evangelical Christians support Trump. Do the Evangelicals seriously think that Donald Trump emulates the Christian Fruits Of The Spirit? The elder Evangelicals are especially to blame for their support of Trump. They simply cannot accept their world is disappearing. The younger, more progressive Evangelicals, to their credit, are less supportive of Trump.
If you consider yourself a Christian, or are someone who embraces basic Christian values, you should carefully consider whether or not Donald Trump deserves your support.
