New Lime Rock Mine approved by Lee County BOCC
To the editor:
I was recently made aware the Lee County Board of Commissioners approved the Bell Blvd Rock Mine to be zoned as a Lime Rock Mining operation without the appropriate zoning hearing process.
How is this legal? Is this how our elected officials act when no one attends their meetings?
This newly approved Lime Rock Mine was put in action against the advice of Lee County’s staff.
The Commissioners are drunk with power. Please have your reporters investigate this matter.
I cannot believe the citizens who live in the far eastern part of the county are going to be surrounded by lime rock mines.
