Yogi said it best: ‘It ain’t over til it’s over’

To the editor:

Yogi Berra was an American Legend. He was an All Star catcher for the New York Yankees and a man known for being honest and profound. Yogi told us that “it ain’t over til it’s over.”

Today, this bit of instruction is on the lips of all true Americans. There’s no doubt that the race for the White House is far from over. At risk is the Presidency, the integrity of the Constitution, and the world’s confidence in the election process in America.

President Trump, from the moment he came down the escalator and announced his candidacy for President of the United States, has been attacked by the main-stream media and mistreated by corrupt politicians and irresponsible morons. Never before in history has a United States President been subjected to such obscene treatment. Obviously, it was all because this good man promised to clean up the “swamp” and remove corruption from Washington.

Donald Trump, not a politician, swore to make America respected again. And for this, we’ve seen four years of idiots lying, making up stories, cheating and doing everything possible to discredit a President working for the people — and succeeding.

He saved us with a wall on our Southern border, by eliminating vile terrorists, by effecting peace in the Middle East, by improving conditions for African-Americans, Latino Americans, and all Americans, he rebuilt our military, he established an economy never before imagined in America prosperity abounded and there was pride in a nation that longed for this kind of powerful governing. And, for all this and more, Donald J. Trump was treated with enormous disrespect and incredible abuses.

Now, what we have is a rising of “the swamp” to remove this President from the White House before he can clean up more of the Washington garbage. Make no mistake about it, this election is a continuation of the lying and cheating of useless politicians. Voting impropriety everywhere and an election consisting of cheating, misrepresentation, and down right crookery.

This behavior is more far reaching than just an attack on President Trump — this is an assault on our invaluable Constitution, on our Democracy, and on the soul of America!

Let’s hope that Yogi was right, that it ain’t over til it’s over.

And, let’s pray that truth will prevail and God will bless America
