It’s that time of the year once again when Lehigh residents can show their support for their favorite local business with bragging rights at stake.

The annual “Best of Lehigh Acres” awards season is in full swing where the public determines the very best of what the community’s businesses have to offer.

The Lehigh Acres Citizen has published a book offering multiple categories in which readers can vote for the businesses they believe are tops in their class. The nomination book is included in this week’s editions of the Citizen, and ballots can be returned by dropping them off at any of the advertiser locations listed in the ballot book.

“One of the most anticipated projects at The Citizen each year is the annual Best of Cape Coral awards,” said Breeze Newspapers Advertising Director Laurie Ragle. “We get excited to see who the winners will be each year. Many of the winning businesses tout their award by putting stickers on their business doors or hanging banners at their store or restaurant. We encourage all winners to trumpet their award all year by also including the logo in their ads in the newspaper or in any digital marketing they do.”

Categories are vast and cast a large net, including: Best Dermatologist; Heating & A/C Service; Pest Control; Bicycle Shop; Furniture Store; Jewelry Store; Boat Lift Repair; Nail Salon; Real Estate Team; Pizza; Margarita; Live Music Venue; the list goes on and on.

An outside company tallies all votes to determine the winners and a “winners book” will be published to announce all category winners. Readers can look for a copy to be inserted into the Oct. 20 edition of The Citizen.

“This publication is a great keep-around piece for use year-round or to share with others,” Ragle added. “Lehigh is large, so just being nominated is something special. There are so many businesses from which to choose that getting the thumbs up from residents is awesome and should be considered an honor.”

Breeze Newspapers also conducts “Best of” award programs though its weekly newspapers including the Fort Myers Beach Observer and Beach Bulletin; the Sanibel Island Reporter and Islander, the Pine Island Eagle and The Breeze as well as the North Fort Myers Neighbor Living magazine.
