The annual Christ United Methodist Church Rummage Sale will be held this weekend to raise money for youth activities.

“We have one in the fall and one in the spring to coincide with the arrival and departure of the seasonal residents,” Rummage Sale Organizer Kevin Coulter said.

The sale will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, and Saturday, Oct. 9, at Christ United Methodist Church, 1430 Homestead Road., N. inside the Fellowship Hall.

Although the type of items varies slightly from year to year, he said typically they have home goods, furniture, hardware, clothing and shoes.

“For clothing and shoes a customer may fill a Walmart bag with either for $5, no limit,
 Coulter said.

In addition to the rummage sale, on Saturday there will be lunch and baked goods for sale. The lunch will be an “October Fest” theme with sausages and the fixings. For desert, attendees can purchase such baked goods as pies, cakes and cookies.
