Lee Dental Care is partnering with sister practices to offer free dental care for veterans on Nov. 6 in Fort Myers.

“We have volunteers coming for other offices. Hygienists and doctors are all coming here to donate their time,” Lee Dental Care Office Manager Lacey Woodruff said.

Those offices include Blue Sea Dental, Community Dental Care, Smile Cape Coral, Punta Gorda Dental Care and Elite Dental Care.

She said in November they typically hold Dentistry From the Heart for the whole community but, with COVID restrictions, the office came together and decided to help the community in another way by helping veterans.

“That day we are going to be offering free fillings, extractions, or cleaning by appointment only,” Woodruff said. “Appointments are filling up quickly.”

Veterans interested in the service can call Lee Dental Care at 239-936-3436 to make an appointment. The office is at 3436 Cleveland Ave., Fort Myers.

Patients will start being seen at 8 a.m. Saturday, Nov 6.

Veterans will have to show some form of military ID to receive the free service.

“We want to give back to the community. We just want to offer something to them,” she said.
