VFW Post 4174: Pieces of the puzzle

By Submitted by PAT?WHITEHALL - | Nov 24, 2021

Did you ever stop to think how so many of our members are big pieces of our Auxiliary puzzle? By that, it is meant we consist of many different committees where we work together to create a whole picture, or a giant puzzle , if you will. Our Auxiliary from the VFW Post 4174 in Lehigh Acres works hard to make it a priority to keep in touch with our many members to be sure none are forgotten and we try to assist them in any way we are able.

It only takes a very little of our time to reach out and remind everyone of their importance to our organization. We could not survive without the help of our members. There is a lot of literature available to help with the very worthy causes we espouse and we are constantly working to improve our main mission of assisting all our veterans for their different needs.

National Headquarters will send free brochures to any member who needs them and it is very easy to submit the order to obtain said brochures. The form for ordering any brochure is available at vfwauxiliary.org/resources. The completed form may be emailed by saving it to your computer, filling all fields, attaching it to an Email & send it to info@vfwauxiliary.org.

Not only are brochures available, members also may find easy-to-fill-out membership applications and also benefit sheets. VFW program brochures (including Buddy, Poppy, Patriot’s Pen and Voice of Democracy) may also be ordered from the VFW Store at vfwstore.org or by calling 1-833.VFW.VETS. To be sure the orders don’t get misplaced, they should be delivered to a member’s home.

With the advent of so much of technology, it is also simple to get social. The many places to go are: Instragram, @vfwauxiliaryhq; Facebook, vfwauxiliary; YouTube, VFWAuxiliary National Organization; LinkedIn, VFW Auxiliary; and Pinterest, vfwauxiliary. The Auxiliary Website also answers some of the questions one might have regarding specific projects or upcoming events.

Life is ever changing, but the purpose for which the Auxiliary was founded remains the same. We are dedicated to serve the venerable veteran men and women who donned a U.S. Military uniform and gave of themselves to protect and preserve our country.

We owe them a debt of gratitude and must remember to keep them the biggest piece of our puzzle.
