Elections were a wake-up call

By Staff | Nov 29, 2021

To the editor:

In this last election Democrats are seeking some unfathomable excuse for their steep loses in this off-off year elections. They lost big Minnesota, very big in Virginia and there was almost an upset in New Jersey.

If you oppose defunding the police you’re racist. Minneapolis voters were sensible enough to reject a proposal to dismantle the Police Department. If you want a say in your child’s education curriculum you are a domestic terrorist. If you’re in favor of charter schools then you want to bring back this nation to the Jim Crow era.

Never mind that prices are skyrocketing and grocery store shelves are depleted.

Never mind that billions of dollars worth of products are sitting on ships in the Pacific.

The border crisis has been going on for months with no end in sight. Vice President Kamala is nowhere to be seen at the southern border.

Favor energy independence? Means you must hate the planet. Natural gas is twice as expensive as it was just last year. Gas your car up lately? How has your quality of life been affected by the Biden presidency?

And they still use the blame game of Trump, racism and white supremacy that fueled the Republican Party’s victorious night. They still want to pass bills that will cause higher taxes and inflation and hurt the middle class.

Hopefully they will wake-up and listen to the American people, not special interest groups and the media.
