Lee County Parks & Recreation offers holiday events
Lee County Parks & Recreation plans holiday events throughout December.
Events include:Â Â
â-ª North Fort Myers Breakfast with Santa, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 4, North Fort Myers Recreation Center, 2000 N. Recreation Park Way, North Fort Myers.
Come have breakfast with the jolly man himself. Enjoy making a holiday craft, playing reindeer games, writing a letter to Santa and taking a photo with him.
Admission is $3 per child. Pre-register at leeparks.org.

â-ª Holiday Express Train, 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. and 6 – 9 p.m. during the week and 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, starting Friday, Dec. 10, through Dec. 30, Lakes Park, 7330 Gladiolus Drive, Fort Myers.
The annual Holiday Express miniature train transports you through a winter wonderland with lights and decorations.
The train is closed from 6-9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 24, and all day Saturday, Dec. 25.Â
Admission is $6 for ages 6 to adult; no charge for ages 1-5.

â-ª Holiday Hoopla, 5 p.m., Friday, Dec. 10, Boca Grande Community Center, 131 1st St., Boca Grande.
Come out and celebrate the holiday season, Boca Grande style. Take part in festive crafts, pose for photos at our fun photo opportunity. Bring your blankets and chairs as you enjoy a seasonal family film on the green. You may even get a glance of that cheery old fellow.
Admission is free.

â-ª Winter Wonderland, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 11, Veterans Park, 55 Homestead Road South, Lehigh Acres.
Come celebrate the season enjoying holiday crafts, letters to Santa, photo booths, ugly sweater contest, Florida snow room activity, reindeer games and a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus for photos. Each child will receive a gift. Hot chocolate, cookie treats and a tree lighting will end the celebration.Â
Admission is $5 per child.

â-ª Santa Fest, 3 – 9 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 11, Wa-Ke Hatchee Park, 16760 Bass Road, Fort Myers.
Join us for an exciting afternoon filled with Holiday cheer. Enjoy bounce houses, food trucks, an ugly Christmas sweater contest, reindeer games, photos with Santa and a movie in the park; the movie is “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” starring Jim Carrey, rated PG. Santa will arrive at 3:30 p.m. and depart at 6 p.m. The movie begins at 6:15 p.m.
Admission is free. Toy donations for Golisano Children’s Hospital encouraged.

â-ª Movie in the Park, 6 – 9 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 18, Estero Park, 9200 Corkscrew Palms Blvd., Estero.
Join us for a showing of the Christmas classic, “Elf,” rated PG. Please bring blankets, chairs and snacks to enjoy while watching this family favorite film. Guests will be able to purchase Kona Ice and take photos with Santa during this event. The film begins at 6 p.m.Â
