School district to host networking, recruitment event
The School District of Lee County will host Classroom Careers: Networking and Recruitment Event to provide insight on careers as teachers, guest teachers and paraprofessionals at the district on Dec. 9 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Lee County Public Education Center, at 2855 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers.
With a growing enrollment of more than 95,000 students and 120 schools, the district is looking to connect talented, high-energy candidates with instructional and non-instructional vacancies for the upcoming school year. Positions are available across the district with a focus on high-demand ones like English, elementary education, science, math and special education, as well as for guest teachers and paraprofessionals.
During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with principals and district representatives and learn about the variety of career paths available. Candidates may also be offered an interview with the potential to be hired on the spot.
Light bites will be provided by culinary program students from East Lee County High School.
