DeSantis’ actions related to illegal boarder crossings deserves kudos
To the editor:
The media has given little or no attention to Gov. DeSantis’ recently announced emergency order that bans the issuance of all state licenses to provide services to unaccompanied and unvaccinated children crossing the boarder and illegal boarder crossers that federal agencies have flown into Florida by planes (at least 70) in the dead of night. He also announced six legislative proposals that, if passed, would crack down on corporations and non governmental organizations that aid illegal immigration in the state. Why should state taxes and fees go to help law- breaking boarder-crossers, instead of U.S. citizens?
Ron DeSantis actually cares enough about people of Florida to curb human trafficking and uphold immigration law — protecting BOTH the citizen and the non-citizen and he also recognizes the critical distinction between citizens and illegal immigrants — and so do most Americans. Is anyone in the Biden administration capable of understanding this?
