On Aug. 1, the Lee Board of County Commissioners announced a plan to waive tolls on the Sanibel Causeway on Sundays between Aug. 6 and Sept. 10. The waiving of causeway tolls is in support of the “Savor the Shore” campaign organized by the Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau.

While the Sanibel Causeway tolls have been waived on the specified Sundays, patrons visiting Sanibel’s Beach Parks must still pay the hourly rate of $5/hour or have a valid beach parking sticker affixed to their vehicles windshield.
