Radiology Regional, a LucidHealth company, once again partnered with the Florida Everblades ECHL hockey team for their annual Pink in the Rink Night and jersey auction fundraiser. Through this partnership, the Florida Everblades wear custom-designed jerseys to recognize the fight against breast cancer and raise awareness about the importance of annual screening mammography.

Funds raised from the jersey auction are donated to local nonprofits with missions that include providing access to imaging exams and assisting cancer patients and their families with household financial burdens.

This year’s jersey featured a pink, white and blue tie-dye pattern; Everblades fans responded to the fun design and the auction’s cause by bidding high, and their generosity raised over $24,000. The net proceeds from the jersey auction were shared between Samaritan Health and Wellness Center, Inc. and Cancer Alliance Network – with each organization receiving $12,408.

When Samaritan Health and Wellness Center, Inc. opened their doors in November 2014, Radiology Regional worked closely with them to ensure their patients received the imaging care they needed. Understanding Samaritan Health’s critical role in providing affordable healthcare to uninsured patients, the nonprofit was chosen as a recipient of the auction funds.

Dr. Susan Hook, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, Founder, Executive Director, Samaritan Health and Wellness Center, Inc. stated that, “Radiology Regional is such an important organization for the patients at Samaritan Health and Wellness Center. Since we opened, Radiology Regional has provided diagnostic imaging services for our patients in a professional, efficient, and caring manner. Including us as recipients of the Pink in the Rink Jersey Auction fundraising event is a blessing and it will help us continue our work providing primary health care for men, women, and children in Southwest Florida.”

As a leader in breast imaging, Radiology Regional sees the impact a breast cancer diagnosis has on our patients. Cancer Alliance Network (CAN) responds to patients needs through their important mission of providing financial and emotional assistance to cancer patients and their families.
