Lee County Parks & Recreation will host a free family “Movie in the Park” at 8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 29, at Veterans Park, 55 Homestead Road S., Lehigh Acres.

The PG-rated animated adventure comedy “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” will be the main feature. With help from Princess Peach, Mario gets ready to square off against the all-powerful Bowser to stop his plans from conquering the world.

Movie viewing will be on the front athletic field. Lehigh Acres Fire Control & Rescue will provide free popcorn and bottled water. Pelicans SnoBalls of Lehigh Acres will be selling their famous snoballs and Red’s What the Food truck will be on site selling food. Please bring blankets or chairs for movie viewing. In the event of inclement weather, the movie will be moved into the Veterans Park Recreation Center gymnasium.
