The Lehigh Acres American Legion Post 323’s Annual ‘Summer Shante Pig Roast’ is Saturday, Sept. 30, from noon until 7 p.m. at American Legion Post 323 in Lehigh Acres.

The Lehigh Acres American Legion Post 323 is at 1124 Ashlar Ave. in Lehigh Acres, behind Burger King and Wells Fargo Bank.

The pig roast will include several homemade, side dishes to include macaroni and cheese, potato salad, macaroni salad, coleslaw, baked beans, and corn on the cob. Small and large portion plate meals are available for either a $5 or $10 donation.

The Horseshoe Tournament begins at noon, Pool Tournament at 4 p.m., and the Brown Bag Auction will benefit veteran families in need. Sign up when you arrive and join in on the fun.

As of May 1, Lehigh Acres American Legion Post 323 became a non-smoking, family-friendly and non-profit facility with respectable house rules. The Legion open to the public for all meals and special events.

Notably, smokers will continue to enjoy our Tiki Hut out back as the Legion remodels and upgrades the area for maximum benefit and enjoyment for all patrons.

Enjoy the College Day and NFL Ticket big screen TV package while you enjoy a meal, or celebrate a special occasion with friends and family in our Canteen or the Banquet Room available for rent.

All veterans and their family members are invited to join, renew or transfer your membership to American Legion 323 for special privileges, benefits, clubs and activities. Simply stop by and ask the Canteen Manager or any Post Officer for an application.
