October Art Walk Paints the Town Pink Oct. 6

By Staff | Oct 3, 2023

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month the River District Alliance (RDA) will host “Painting the Town Pink” during Art Walk on Oct. 6, from 6 to 10 p.m., on the closed streets of historic downtown of Fort Myers.

The first Friday of each month, downtown lights up ARTistically with more than 50 local and regional artists selling and displaying their one of a kind works of art. As a Fort Myers signature event for 15 years, Art Walk is free and family friendly.

The RDA is partnering with the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer to celebrate the courage and hope of breast cancer patients, survivors and caregivers. Balloon Arches and Designs by Randi will be “painting” or should we say “ballooning” the town pink with arches and balloon art. Artist vendors have been encouraged to create “pink” art available for purchase in support of breast cancer awareness. Several restaurants and bars will be offering daily pink specials throughout the month of October with proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society.

For more information contact events@rdafortmyers.com or visit explorefortmyers.com. The event is sponsored by The city of Fort Myers, Fort Myers Redevelopment Agency, and Suncoast Beverage.
