WHAT: Tourism Outlook Annual Meeting

WHY: Join us for our annual meeting where we will share highlights from our new sales & marketing plan, present the coveted Junonia Award and celebrate our industry.

Due to Hurricane Ian, the VCB did not hold an Annual Meeting in 2022. At the 2021 Annual Meeting, the VCB presented its annual Junonia Award to former Sanibel City Manager Judie Zimomra.

Created in 2006, the VCB’s Junonia Award recognizes individuals who positively impact Lee County’s tourism community by demonstrating unique capabilities, leadership, commitment and dedication. The award is named for the junonia, a, treasured shell known for its rarity and exceptional quality that is on every sea sheller’s bucket list.

This year’s meeting will feature new projects and other surprises you won’t want to miss. The keynote speaker will be Peter Greenberg, Travel Editor for CBS News. He and his crew visited before and after Hurricane Ian, putting together an episode chronicling the rebuilding taking place. You can watch it on Apple TV and Amazon Prime.
