Lee County Solid Waste has reported some nice results from its recent Household Chemical Waste collection event in Lehigh.

The Lehigh HCW collection event saw 134 residential customers, dropping off a grand total of 12,366 pounds of household hazardous waste that has been diverted from the waste stream.

• Aerosols, flammables, corrosives: 1,447 pounds

• Fluorescent bulbs: 63

• Latex paint: 6,720 pounds

• Lead Acid Batteries: 756 pounds

• Propane: 137 pounds

• Antifreeze: 371 pounds

• Cooking Oil: 65 pounds

• Oil/gasoline: 2,807 pounds.
