Lehigh man found guilty of meth trafficking

By Staff | Mar 15, 2024

Terrance Tre’jhon Moore, of Lehigh Acres, was found guilty, March 15, of conspiracy to trafficking in methamphetamine in an amount weighing 200 grams or more and purchase of a controlled substance. The Lee County jury returned its verdict early Friday afternoon following a three-day trial before the Honorable Margaret O. Steinbeck.

Evidence presented at trial showed that Moore trafficked in 2 pounds of methamphetamine. Two pounds of methamphetamine equates to approximately 907 grams. Members of the Narcotics Enforcement Task Force (NETFORCE) conducted electronic and physical surveillance on Moore as he arrived at the negotiated location for the drug transaction.

Officers then followed Moore’s vehicle, stopped it, searched it, and discovered the methamphetamine.

Sentencing is scheduled for April 29. At a minimum, the law requires that Moore be sentenced to 15 years in prison to be served as a mandatory sentence.

Assistant State Attorney John Dommerich, Jr., Chief of Special Prosecutions, and Assistant State Attorney Natalie Savino prosecuted the case.

Three defendants, including Moore, have gone to trial with all three having been found guilty by a trial jury of drug trafficking-related charges arising from NETFORCE’s first long-term investigation, Operation Block Party, which commenced in 2020. Others have already been convicted by plea.

NETFORCE was formed by State Attorney Amira Fox in 2019 and in conjunction with partner law enforcement agencies, in order to coordinate a Circuit-wide approach to infiltrating and dismantling drug trafficking organizations, organized crime, racketeering, and money-laundering enterprises in Southwest Florida.
