Lee County residents are going to ‘Flip’ over waived adoption fees this April

Lee County Domestic Animal Services will celebrate the annual Flip This Kennel event in April with reduced adoption fees of just $30 with an approved application.

The theme for the 11th annual event is “Cartoons.” You will see creative spins on cartoons such as Bluey, Scooby Doo, Paw Patrol and more. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, third place and honorable mention in both in-house and Facebook votes.

Visitors to the shelter on Saturday, April 12, can vote for their favorite flip between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Votes also can be cast on Facebook by liking the picture of a favorite kennel or cattery all day Saturday and Sunday. Winners will be posted on the Facebook page Monday, April 14.

The adoption center at Lee County Domestic Animal Services is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday at 5600 Banner Drive, Fort Myers. Available pets can be viewed online at leelostpets.com.

Adoption hours are 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday at Animal Services, 5600 Banner Drive, Fort Myers, next to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office off Six Mile Cypress Parkway.
