Raise a Pint and a Palm: Fort Myers Brewing Co. celebrates National High-5 Day, April 17

By Staff | Apr 2, 2025

Get ready to slap some palms and spread positivity at Fort Myers Brewing Company this National High Five Day on Thursday, April 17. An electrifying evening awaits with live music, gourmet bites, and fantastic vibes–all for a heartwarming cause.

From noon to 10 p.m., proceeds from every High 5 IPA sold in the taproom will benefit the High Fives Foundation, a nonprofit supporting injured athletes and veterans as they return to the outdoor sports they love. Enjoy live music by Hat Trick, starting at 6 p.m., plus food truck vendors Don’t Give Up, South Pizza Co., Beau’s BBQ, and Pryceless Island Grill. Not into IPAs? No problem–we’ll have a full lineup of beers, seltzers, and more, so everyone can join the fun and support a worthy cause.

Fort Myers Brewing Company is a great place for friends and families to come together, making it an ideal spot to celebrate National High 5 Day.

“National High Five Day is a perfect fit for our brewery–not only because our High 5 IPA is a fan favorite and, we think, one of the coolest things crafted in Florida–but also because it embodies the community spirit we cherish,” said Jen Whyte, co-owner of Fort Myers Brewing Company. “Last year, we had the opportunity to donate $1,000 to the Cancer Alliance Network, supporting their vital work with those affected by cancer. It’s partnerships like these that enable us to extend our impact from the brewery into the heart of Southwest Florida.”

Here are some highlights:

Community Connection with a Cause: Grab a bite, enjoy live music, and raise a High 5 IPA–each one sold supports the High Fives Foundation and their mission to help injured athletes and veterans get back in action.

The Best Beer in a Parking Lot: Fort Myers Brewing Company, regionally renowned as the ultimate spot for savoring great beer in a laid-back parking lot setting, is tapping into the fun with their signature High 5 IPA in celebration of National High Five.

Live Entertainment: Hat Trick takes the stage at 6 PM, so you can soak in great music and the vibrant energy of the evening.

Support for Local Businesses: This event showcases the strength and creativity of the SWFL community, with a selection of local food vendors and a thriving craft beer scene.

Fort Myers Brewing Company is at 12811 Commerce Lakes Dr #28, Fort Myers.
