Tickets on sale for Backyard Game Day to benefit Dubin Center

The Dubin Center will host its Backyard Game Day event from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 18, at Bay Street Yard in downtown Fort Myers.
Proceeds from the event will support the center in providing services to local families affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia, and a lively tournament featuring ping pong, cornhole and more in the heart of downtown Fort Myers’ River District.
Founded in 1995, The Dubin Center supports individuals with dementia-related disorders and their caregivers by prioritizing comfort, dignity, compassionate care and education through resources, training and outreach specifically designed for family caregivers. The center provides caregiver education, support groups and assistance with resource referrals.
Services are offered at no cost, made possible by the generous donations and fundraising efforts of the community.
The Presenting Sponsor of Backyard Game Day is Cypress at Home. Game Sponsorships ($2,500) and T-shirt Sponsorships ($250 to $500) are still available. Tickets are $75 each and include food, alcoholic beverages and entry to the tournament.

The Dubin Center was established in 1995 to provide assistance to families of individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease. The Center is named after Alvin A. Dubin whose widow, Zelda Dubin, made a generous donation to ensure the viability of a resource center in Lee County. Throughout their lives, Alvin and Zelda Dubin used both their time and assets to help others. Their legacy will continue through the center’s work.
