East Lee Chamber honors local heroes
Teachers and first responders typically are the backbone of every community. It’s just that they don’t always get the accolades they deserve. The East Lee County Chamber of Commerce has spent the last 24 years trying to change that. Saturday, at the Plantation Golf & Country Club, the best school teachers, first responders and medical personnel got the plaudits they richly deserve at the 24th annual Awards Gala.
