LCSO reminds residents about burglary prevention

January 30, 2013
Lehigh Acres Citizen

The Lee County Sheriff's Office would like to remind residents to always lock their vehicle doors and roll up their windows.

Taking the time to lock doors and close windows could save residents the hassle of being a victim of a vehicle burglary.

In addition to locking doors, remember "out of sight, out of mind."

- Do not leave valuables on the seats of the vehicle.

- Take the time to remove valuables and safely store them inside a residence.

If you see suspicious activity in your neighborhood, call 911 or (239) 477-1000.

For further questions regarding auto burglary prevention, contact the Lee County Sheriff's Office Crime Prevention Unit at (239) 477-1400.
