LCSO seeking thief

February 6, 2013
Lehigh Acres Citizen

All he wanted was two 18-packs of beer, but one man's early morning craving for some cold brew could land him in jail.

Crime Stoppers is asking for the public's help identifying a man who went to the Circle K at 9951 Orange River Blvd. in Fort Myers just before 6 a.m. on Jan. 12.

Upon entering the store, the man looked around for a few seconds, then grabbed two 18-packs of Budweiser beer and fled the store, taking off in a white Crown Victoria, with a getaway driver ready to whisk him away.

Surveillance cameras captured images of the man and now deputies just need is a name to go with the face. Upon his identification, location and arrest, he'll be facing misdemeanor theft charges.

Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of the Budweiser burglar is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).

All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Tips may also be made online at www.swflcrimestoppers.org or by texting a tip to CRIMES (274637) Keyword: REWARD.

For additional information, contact Trish Routte, Crime Stoppers coordinator, at 477-1407.
