The Greater Lehigh Acres Chamber of Commerce announced today that effective as of June 18, 2013, Inke Schirrmacher-Baker is the new President/CEO of the Greater Lehigh Acres Chamber of Commerce. The board of directors voted unanimously at the June 18 Board of Directors Retreat.
Inke Baker has been with the chamber for almost four years and worked the last seven month as interim president/CEO and before that as executive assistant.
She is a resident of Lehigh Acres since 2002 and is a past president of the Rotary Club of Lehigh Acres. She is also currently the vice president of the Lehigh Acres Architectural Review Board and a 2010 graduate of the Leadership Lehigh program.
Before coming to Lehigh, Baker worked more than 17 years in the IT industry in Europe and is experienced in sales, marketing and customer service.
"Inke Baker demonstrated throughout her interim phase that she was exceeding budget goals set as well as increasing membership and retention. She is well respected in the community and is part of several community organizations. She represented the Greater Lehigh Acres Chamber of Commerce over the boundaries of our community and reestablished relationships with state, county and economic leaders," said Cindy Dodd, chairwoman of the board of directors.
"Inke has put her plan that she presented at the last retreat in action and the board of directors is supporting her 100 percent. We are looking forward to continue this successful path Inke Baker is leading us on."
