To the editor:
I have collected two bags of man-made garbage between Bell Blvd. and Eisenhower Blvd. I have observed the trash to include Heineken, Mountain Dew, Pepsi cola, Monster, McDonald and Burger King's coffee cups, 7/11 foam cups Cocoa Cola cans, napkins and several water bottles.
Now if this trash has been deposited by in transit workers, may I suggest that you place your garbage in one of your plastic shopping bags and dispose of it when you arrive to your destinations.
If, on the other hand this trash is due to Lehigh Acres residents, shame on you.
As a solution, may I recommend that the Community Council recommend an ordinance pertaining to trash littering. (Editor's note: There is such an ordinance.)
If there is one on the books that has been approved, then let's enforce it. By the way, I have also observed two other locations that need our attention. They are the corner between Milwaukee and Homestead South and Bell and Leeland Heights at the side entrance of Sweetbay Supermarket.
Come on people of Lehigh, let's keep our community clean.
