Mary Ellen Fink, 85, of Austintown, Ohio, and formerly of Lehigh Acres, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at Austinwoods. She was born Aug. 9, 1928, in Canfield, the daughter of Chauncey and Amanda (Freed) Corll.
She married Earl "Jim" Fink on April 21, 1946.
She was a member of Smith Corners United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years.
She also worked as a homemaker, taking care of her family, and she enjoyed needlepoint.
Upon returning to Florida, she got a license to open and run a daycare at her home. Over a course of 26 years, she and her late husband took care of more than 200 children in their home.
She only retired when her health started to fail her.
She leaves her children, Chauncey (Marie) Fink of Berlin Center, Marcia (Nick) DePizzo of Austintown, Margaret (Jim) Ingeldue of Goshen, Lynn (Martin) Mikula of Youngstown and Kenneth (Tammy) Fink of Austintown; son-in-law, Roger Rowbottom; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, who died Oct. 30, 2013; daughter, Alice Rowbottom; grandchildren, Amanda DePizzo and Kenneth J. Fink; and brothers, Lewis and Chauncey Corll.

A service was held Monday, March 3, 2014, at the Lane Family Funeral Homes in Austintown.
